Sir Elton John has thanked the Scissor Sisters for their help in securing him an Ivor Novello Award.
The singer claimed the prize for Most Performed Work for penning 'I Don't Feel Like Dancing', released by the Scissor Sisters. Now John has acknowledged the band's contribution to his prize, admitting he wouldn't have won it without them.
He added that the songwriting process marked a first for him personally: "We wrote the song in a Las Vegas hotel room. As you may know, I always write alone. I want to thank Scott and Jason (Jake Shears) from the Scissor Sisters, because this was the first time I've written a song in the same room as other people and it was a fabulous experience."
