Courtney Love decides to give up smoking

Courtney Love has vowed to quit smoking after nodules were discovered on her throat.
The rock singer has been told by her doctor that she will have to undergo surgery if she does not give up cigarettes. Love has agreed to kick the habit but is concerned that she will now put on weight.
"He [the doctor] guessed exactly how much I smoke too and told me I'll have to get surgery," Love wrote on her website.
"I need to stop unless ... I want surgery in a year, and two or three days off on tour is not economically feasible, so my thin phase is gonna go soon."
