Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles are engaged to be married, according to reports.
Sources claim that the rapper, real name Shawn Carter, proposed to the singer last week in France. Carter flew to Cannes to meet Knowles and surprise her with a romantic weekend in the town.
According to a source, Jay-Z pledged to give his girlfriend "the biggest diamond she can fit on her finger", with the plan currently to have a Hawaiian wedding later in the year.
"This will be the hip-hop wedding to end all hip-hop weddings," the source said.
