Clooney slams 'cheap' Hilton

George Clooney has criticised Paris Hilton for using "cheap publicity tricks" to maintain her celebrity status.

The Oscar-winning actor insisted that Hilton has no right to complain when she is criticised by the media outlets that helped to make her famous.

He said: "You can only get so far without any discernible talent. Then you either work or use cheap publicity tricks to keep the public's attention.

"Then you are in no position to complain if, like Paris, you are on the receiving end of bad publicity."
