Bloom recalls "chubby child" days

Orlando Bloom has admitted that he wasn't attractive to women as a teenager.

The Pirates of the Caribbean actor has revealed that he allowed himself to become "chubby" after sustaining a leg injury.

"If you ask my mother she'd tell you some terrible stories about me," Bloom told Parkinson. "I was a chubby child.

"Here's the thing - I broke my leg when I was a child as I was a bit reckless as a kid, I used to throw myself off anything, run into anything and generally got injured. I broke my leg and consoled myself with chocolate for about nine months, a year - with a cast on! When I came out of it, I sort of just rolled out of the cast."

Parkinson airs at 10.25pm tonight on ITV1.
