"Skint" Mika mocked by phone salesman

Mika has revealed that he was humiliated in a mobile phone shop when he failed a credit check.
The singer attempted to take out a phone contract recently but was laughed at by an unimpressed salesman who announced his misfortune to the other customers.
The 23-year-old has not yet received royalty payments for his number one single Grace Kelly and hit album Life In Cartoon Motion.
"I went into a mobile phone shop and failed every credit rating check there is. I didn't even know what a credit rating was until then," Mika told The Mirror. "The salesman was determined I was not getting a phone from him. He took real delight in announcing to the entire shop I was broke, skint and penniless.
"The guy serving had no interest in who I was. My friend who was with me was just p***ing himself with laughter."
