Michael Barrymore has been released by police without charge.
The star, 55, was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of murder and sexual assault as part of a new inquiry into the death of Stuart Lubbock at his home in 2001.
Two other men - Justin Merritt, 32, and Jonathan Kenny, 37 - were also arrested but Merritt was released on bail with Barrymore yesterday afternoon.
"Michael has not been charged with any offence. He has fully co-operated with the police in their inquiries," said a spokesman for Barrymore, adding that he "categorically denies" the allegations.
