Lohan hopes to become a WAG

Lindsay Lohan has told friends that she wants to follow in the footsteps of Victoria Beckham by becoming a WAG.

The Mean Girls actress was thrilled to catch a glimpse of footballers Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney at Ricky Hatton's boxing match against José Luis Castillo in Las Vegas this weekend.

She has now admitted that she is interested in getting close to Rio and may even help him to become a film actor.

A source told the Daily Star: "Lindsay thinks Victoria Beckham is so cool and loves the fact that she is happily married to David with three sons. She sees that as the perfect set-up and wants to get to know a few British footballers - especially Rio. She thinks he is a real sweetie and thought he looked gorgeous at Ricky's fight.

"Lindsay also heard on the grapevine that he is interested in becoming a film actor. She has said she will do whatever it takes to help him make it on the big screen in Hollywood - she has a big heart."

Ferdinand is currently in a relationship with Rebecca Ellison, 26, and the pair have a one-year-old daughter together.
