Moss, Beckham to be godparents

Kate Moss and David Beckham are to be godparents to ex-Hollyoaks star Davinia Taylor's newborn baby.

Along with her husband David Gardner the actress, who played Jude Cunningham on the soap, has named her child Grey.

The 7lb baby boy was born at the Portland Hospital in London on Tuesday.

Taylor has apparently been friends with Kate Moss for a number of years, while Gardner has remained close to Beckham since the pair played at Manchester United together.

A friend of Moss told the Mirror: "Kate's been in constant touch with Davinia as the birth got closer and she is over the moon for her friend.

"She had an inkling that Davinia might ask her to be godmother and she was absolutely overjoyed when she got the nod.

"Kate and Davinia have been so close for ages that Kate was the obvious choice for godmother.

"Davinia spent loads of time with Kate and Lila Grace (Moss's daughter) and sees what a great mum she is."
