'Potter' actress tops female icon poll

Harry Potter star Emma Watson has been voted Britain's greatest female ambassador.

The 17-year-old actress, who plays Hermione Granger in the movies, was followed by Pirates star Keira Knightley in second place and Smile singer Lily Allen in third. Charlotte Church and Katie Price were voted in fourth and fifth place respectively.

Supermodel Kate Moss and Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding were at the bottom of the poll, which was carried out by Top of the Pops magazine.

The mag's editor Peter Hart explained: "A good ambassador needs brains and beauty, not just bags of cash."
