Joss Stone was hurt by Brits criticism
Published Monday, Jul 2 2007, 09:19 BST | By Daniel Kilkelly

The soul singer was mocked for her odd behaviour at February's ceremony and accused of adopting an American accent.
Stone has now revealed that she was so horrified by the experience that she considered quitting Britain altogether.
"I do care about it. I wish I didn't but I can't help it. I am very disappointed because it is my home," Joss told the Daily Star. "I thought: 'If they don't like me maybe I'll just disappear.' Imagine coming home and everybody saying: 'You're s**t.' That's not very nice.
"If they were just commenting on my music then it would be easier to think: 'Okay, maybe it's not their thing. Whatever.' But they're not. They're commenting on my personality, voice and everything and most of it isn't true."
