Warrant issued for Doherty's arrest
A warrant has been issued for Pete Doherty's arrest after the troubled rocker was late for a court appearance.

The Babyshambles frontman was scheduled to appear at West London Magistrates Court this morning to enter his plea on a charge of possessing a class A drug.

However, the 28-year-old was two-and-a-half hours late, arriving just minutes after District Judge Davinder Lachhar issued an arrest warrant.

She said: "This is a court of law. He should have been here at 9.30 and he isn't. I am giving a warrant with no bail."

Doherty was arrested on the drugs charge last month after being stopped in his car in central London on May 5.
