Nelly Furtado gets engaged

Nelly Furtado has got engaged to her Cuban boyfriend, Demacio 'Demo' Castellon, according to mutual friend Timbaland.

The 'Maneater' singer has been dating the sound engineer since they worked together with music producer Timbaland on her album Loose.

Rumours have been rife since Furtado was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger last month but according to People magazine, Timbaland has now confirmed it is true.

The singer has a three-year-old daughter with former partner DJ Jasper 'Lil' Jaz' Gahunia.
