Live Earth organisers have banned artists from making extravagant backstage demands, according to a report.
Stars participating in today's Wembley Stadium event will be forced to drink English white wine rather than champagne, eat from biodegradable paper plates, and stay in simple dressing rooms without their usual luxuries.
A source told The Mirror: "Champagne would have to be flown or shipped in which is bad for the environment, so they've had to look closer to home instead. Some of the artists' more fussy riders can't be accommodated either. There will be no straws and no napkins. Just biodegradable plates and plastic cups.
"It will certainly be a bit different to what the stars are used to, but it's all for a good cause at the end of the day. As well as no bubbly and plastic plates, there will be less lighting, biodiesel will run the generators and recycle bins for artists' rubbish will be everywhere."
