Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears has revealed that his parents had an unusual reaction when he told them that he is gay.
The singer told his mother and father while on holiday at the age of 16, but he was shocked when they ignored his announcement and scolded him for talking over the TV.
"I was 16 on vacation in Las Vegas," Shears told Q magazine. "My mum told me to be quiet as my father was trying to watch the news."
