Posh okay with Cruise's Scientology

Victoria Beckham has denied that Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise's religion of Scientology has affected their friendship, insisting it is not an issue.

The Spice Girl and husband David Beckham will be relocating to Los Angeles at the end of the month so that David can take his post up at soccer team LA Galaxy.

Both Cruise and Holmes have struck up a friendship with the Beckhams and have helped them with their move, but Beckham has rubbished reports that their belief in Scientology has got in the way.

During an interview to be broadcast on NBC's Today show, the singer defended the Hollywood couple, saying: "There's been so much made of the Scientology - the this, the that. They are genuinely lovely people. Wonderful family. They do their thing. We do our thing. They are a wonderful family.

"She's a very strong, sweet, lovely girl. She's helped me so much with the move. She's genuinely a nice girl."
