Lohan reads Machiavelli for comfort

Lindsay Lohan has revealed that she derives comfort from reading Machiavelli's The Prince.

The 21-year-old actress, who recently completed a spell at the Promises rehabilitation clinic in Malibu, California, admitted that she keeps a copy of the 16th century political tract on her person all all times.

She told Tatler: "I was going out with someone and they said I should read Machiavelli and I was like: 'Nah!' But then I said: 'Ok, I'll read it'. Now it is always with me."
