Photographer guilty of assaulting Mills
A photographer has been found guilty of assaulting Heather Mills when trying to take her picture.

Jay Kaycappa, from Hampshire, approached Mills in a subway on Brighton seafront on July 5 last year.

He held her shoulder and tried to swing her around to take a photo, Brighton Magistrates' Court heard.

Kaycappa was also found guilty of assaulting Mills's friend Mark Payne on July 6 after a three-day trial.

Magistrates adjourned sentencing but warned the defendant that prison was an option.

The court heard Mills entered the subway to escape the paparazzi then saw another photographer at its exit. She turned around and was confronted by Kaycappa.

Phil Hall, spokesman for Mills, Paul McCartney's estranged wife, commented: "Heather is delighted that justice has been done and hopes that the photographers who pursue her on a daily basis will now leave her and her daughter alone."
