Zeta-Jones vowed to walk out on Douglas

Catherine Zeta-Jones reportedly vowed to walk out on husband Michael Douglas if he didn't want children.

She apparently warned the actor that she wanted a family before the pair married.

She told Parade magazine that, although she fell in love with Douglas very soon after they started dating, she would have walked out on him had he not wanted children.

Zeta-Jones, 37, said: "I turned to him and asked, 'Do you really want children?' I thought for one minute he was going to say, 'I already have a son, Cameron.'

"I would then have had to say goodbye. I remember saying defiantly, 'I can't live without having children'. And he went, 'Me too'."

The couple now have two children together, Dylan, 7, and Carys, 4.
