Blur star Dave Rowntree is continuing his plans to be successful in politics - and has applied to be a Liverpool MP.
The 42-year-old drummer, who has already unsuccessfully attempted to be a Labour councillor in London, is hoping to be chosen as Labour's candidate in the West Derby seat. It is not yet known if he will make the shortlist.
Rowntree faces competition from Labour politician Bob Wareing, who has been West Derby's MP for 23 years but is currently fighting deselection.
Dave has refused to comment on his plans, telling the Liverpool Daily Post: "It's the wrong time to be talking about that."
