Footballer David announced in January that he would be leaving Spanish team Real Madrid and joining the American team, which will become official tonight at a "low-key" presentation ceremony.
The deal is thought to mean he will earn £125 million over the next five years, but the team are concerned Beckham's arrival could overshadow the other players.
A spokesperson for LA Galaxy said: "It’s meant to be low key. We’ve got games coming up and an important tournament next week. We don’t want players getting distracted or being prevented from training."
