Actor-turned-filmmaker Mel Gibson has sold his US mansion for almost $40 million, reports say.
The Apocalypto director's Connecticut estate was picked up by an unnamed buyer for $39.5 million, the New York Daily News claims.
The 28-room, Tudor-style mansion - which he shares with his wife and seven children - has 15 bedrooms, a screening room, two guest houses and a maze in the 76-acre grounds.
The 41-year-old, who bought the property in 1994, also has homes in California, Malibu, Australia and Costa Rica, as well his own private island near Fiji.
