Ricky Gervais rants about his critics

Ricky Gervais has hit back at his critics in a foul-mouthed internet rant.

The Office funnyman accused Concert for Diana reviewers of being "f****** c****" for criticising his stand-up performance at the gig earlier this month.

He was on the internet to promote the final episode of Extras, which will air at Christmas.

Listing his successes, Gervais said: "The Office, Extras and the fastest selling stand-up tour in history - you know what I'm going to do now? F*** all!

"They say: 'He's resting on his laurels'. I am resting on my laurels, you f****** c****. Write about that. I don't like what he's doing? You f****** c****."

A friend of the comedian told The Mirror: "He's obviously joking. Some people just don't get his obnoxious act."
