Kooks star swears at airport fan

The Kooks frontman Luke Pritchard ranted at a fan who approached him at Gatwick Airport this week.

Pritchard had to be restrained by a friend when he took objection to holidaymaker Donald Weir, who was keen to speak to his favourite singer.

"I was coming home from a trip to Majorca. I'm a massive fan so I went over and said so but Luke turned round and told me to f*** off," Weir told The Sun. "I apologised for intruding but told him there was no need to speak to me like that. That just set him off. As I walked away he started charging at me as if he was going to swing at me.

"He stank of booze and was swaying from side to side. A girl with him had to pull him back and shouted at him to stop behaving like an idiot. But he started screaming at her to f*** off. One lad on his flight told me Luke had been ranting at other people."

Luke was returning home from a trip to Dublin, where he had stayed for a one-week break after flying out for a gig.
