Hilton seeks to impress Jay Kay?

Paris Hilton has tried impressing Jay Kay by sending him a book and CD, it has been reported.

The socialite is keen to meet with the Jamiroquai singer, says the Daily Star, and posted him a Greenpeace book along with the message: "Let me be your 'Cosmic Girl'.” Hilton apparently followed it up with a recording of her singing the track.

“He’s hot," she said of Kay. "I’d really like to hook up with him some time.”

A source explained the presents: "She heard he was an animal-loving eco-warrior, so she thought he’d appreciate the book.

"And Paris wanted to prove she also has musical abilities by recording his song, which should massage his ego nicely. She can’t wait for his reply."
