Elton wanted date with Hear'say star

Sir Elton John once asked Hear'say singer Danny Foster out on a date.

According to Danny's former bandmate Kym Ryder, the 60-year-old star invited him out for a meal as an apology for calling the group "ugly".

Kym told ITV1's Orange Playlist: "Elton said: 'It was immature of me.' Then he looked at Danny and said: 'Any chance of a date?'"

Elton later continued his habit of asking for a date following angry outbursts. In 2005, he invited former Westlife singer Brian McFadden out for dinner - in order to apologise for comments that he made about his solo career.
