Spears buys 'Goodfellas' mansion

Britney Spears has snapped up a multi-million pound mansion owned by actor Ray Liotta after a 40-minute viewing.

The pop star took a brief tour of the property, taking a dip in the pool with her kids, running herself a bath and checking out all the toilets, before purchasing the Goodfellas star's Pacific Palisades home.

A source told the Daily Star: "Britney has spent the past month looking for a new pad ever since the child protection services reported that her Malibu and Bel Air homes have unsafe pool areas.

"And she fell in love with the Liotta pad the second she set foot in it. But she wanted to play house to make sure."

The Mediterranean-style pad designed by Liotta, contains five bedrooms and eight bathrooms.
