Hilary Duff sympathises with Spears

Hilary Duff has admitted that she felt sorry for Britney Spears after reading reports which questioned the star's parenting skills.

The actress and singer has insisted that all parents make mistakes, and claimed that it is wrong to criticise Britney when hers are caught on camera.

Duff told Hollywood Life magazine: "I remember when all that stuff came out about her not strapping her baby in the car seat right. I was just like, 'Leave her alone.'

"My mum said to me, 'Do you know how many times I dropped you on your head or let you fall off something accidentally?' It just happens."
