Kerry Katona has spoken about the horror of being held by armed robbers last week.

The former Atomic Kitten singer was horrified when a gang broke into her home in Wilmslow, Cheshire, and threatened her with a knife. Kerry's husband Mark Croft and five-month-old daughter Heidi were also in the house at the time, but her other two children Molly and Lilly-Sue were staying with their father Brian McFadden.

Katona later checked into The Priory clinic because she could not cope in the aftermath of the incident.

"It was the most terrifying night of my life," Kerry told OK! magazine. "I thought we were all going to die or that they'd take Heidi away from us. I'm just so thankful that Molly and Lilly weren't in the house. I'm not sleeping, I'm scared to go back to the house and I get frightened when Mark leaves me alone. I feel the lowest I've felt for a long time and I've had some real lows in my life."

She added: "I'm sick of hearing that it's the end of the bad times for me because something worse is always around the corner."
