Sharon Osbourne's father dies at 81

Sharon Osbourne's father Don Arden has died at the age of 81.

The music mogul, who launched the careers of Gene Vincent, ELO and Black Sabbath, passed away at a nursing home in Los Angeles, which he had moved into in 2002 after developing Alzheimer's Disease.

Osbourne had been estranged from her father for 20 years, until they reunited when he was diagnosed with the condition. She had spoken about his violent past in her autobiography Extreme, and more recently, in an interview for TV show Shrink Rap.
