Gyllenhaal tops gay poll

Jake Gyllenhaal has been voted the sexiest man alive by readers of a gay entertainment website.

The Brokeback Mountain star beat off stiff competition from Fantastic Four's Chris Evans, who came second, and Bond actor Daniel Craig, who finished third, to top AfterElton’s Hot 100 list.

Torchwood star John Barrowman finished in tenth place, while David Beckham made number 39 on the list.

AfterElton set the survey because it felt that gay pin-ups had been overlooked in a similar poll by US celebrity journal People.
