Jolie and Pitt hire out bowling alley

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt hired out a bowling alley on a trip to France this Monday while visiting their friend Marianne Pearl.

The couple persuaded the management at the Le Palace Vert to close the alley down so their two families could use the facilities on their own.

Speaking about the visit, owner Patrick Bernard told People magazine: "At one point...because the children don't have the strength to always get the ball down the lane, it sometimes stops. Brad thought he'd go down the lane to push it along. He slipped and fell on his back."

He added: "We're certainly the smallest bowling in France, so we're still having trouble realising we spent Monday afternoon with the most famous couple in the world."

Tomb Raider actress Jolie is playing the role of Pearl in a new film, A Mighty Heart, which is produced by Pitt and follows the kidnap story of Pearl's journalist husband.
