Nicole Richie to break her silence

Nicole Richie is expected to break her silence on her impending trial and alleged pregnancy in a three part interview with Diane Sawyer.

The Simple Life star will speak exclusively with the veteran interviewer in a broadcast which is to be shown on August 2 and 3 on both Good Morning America and 20/20.

Richie has tended to shirk the media since going on tour with Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden. Rumours surrounding the couple's possible pregnancy is one of the topics touted for discussion.

Earlier this month, Richie's driving under the influence court case was delayed until August 16.
