J.Lo sends congratulations to Beckham

Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony sent a message of congratulations to David Beckham during the premiere of their new movie.

The singing pair have become close friends with Beckham and wife Victoria since they moved to Los Angeles for David to join football team LA Galaxy.

J.Lo was in Puerto Rico promoting El Cantante when Anthony told US TV show Access Hollywood: "I just want to say 'Dave, Congratulations on your first game. Sorry we couldn't be there'."

Lopez agreed, saying: "Yes, congratulations Dave".

They have invited the Beckhams to the New York premiere of their film later this week and hope they will be able to attend.

J.Lo said: "We are hoping they make it to the premiere in New York. We don't know. They said they would try."
