Savage Garden star speaks about coming out

Former Savage Garden star Darren Hayes has admitted that coming to terms with his sexuality was a tough experience.
The gay singer, who entered into a civil partnership with Richard Cullen in June 2006, did not reveal his sexuality to fans for a number of years.
"Coming out for me was intensely private and rather painful," Darren told Hot Stars magazine. "It took me a long time to come to terms with it myself, so the idea of holding a press conference about it didn't feel right."
Asked if he and Richard have considered raising children, Darren confirmed: "Absolutely, I'd love to adopt in the next five years or so. I'm not ready to give a child 100 per cent of my attention just yet, but I know I will be one day."
