Kate Nash has insisted that she won't allow the success of her music career to go to her head.
The Foundations singer, who is expected to climb to the top of the UK chart this week, has vowed that she won't follow in the footsteps of other young musicians by experimenting with drugs.
"I don't need drugs - I get a buzz off ice cream," Kate told The Sun. "I've never been interested in drugs, and a lot of my friends aren't really bothered about them either. It all makes me feel uncomfortable. I find it quite seedy when I go somewhere and people are taking them."
Nash added that she has no current plans to buy her own place and will continue living with her family in London for the time being.
"I still live with my parents in North Harrow in London - I've lived there all my life," she said. "I walk around in my pyjamas with yesterday's scraggly hair. I still go to some of the places I've always gone to. But I haven't had much time though recently."
