Shot Davies "disappointed" over charges

Ray Davies has said he is "disappointed" as charges are dropped against a man previously accused of shooting him.
Jerome Barra, 28, was charged with armed robbery and aggravated battery after the singer was shot in the leg while on holiday in New Orleans in 2004. Police said he chased two men after they stole his girlfriend's bag.
However, the charges were dropped on Friday because Davies failed to show up at court for a second time.
The Kinks singer said he had not been informed of the date until too late.
He told New Orleans newspaper Times-Picayune: "I am very disappointed with the way this case has been handled. I intend to pursue it further."
The Orleans Parish District Attorney said his no-show meant it was impossible to continue.
