Father Of The Bride star Steve Martin shocked his family and friends by throwing a surprise wedding ceremony at the weekend.
The American actor and comedian told his loved ones that he wanted to host a party, and invited seventy-five guests, including Tom Hanks and Diane Keaton, to his home. It was only when they arrived that Martin, 61, announced that they had been brought along to witness him tying the knot with girlfriend Anne Stringfield, 35.
Steve asked Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels to be his best man, while former Nebraska Senator Bob Kerrey presided over the ceremony.
Martin started dating Stringfield in 2002. He has previously been married to British actress Victoria Tennant; the pair divorced in 1994.
