Britney fires personal assistant

Britney Spears has fired her personal assistant in the aftermath of her disastrous photoshoot with OK! magazine.

The singer, who has also fired manager Larry Rudolph and public relations firm BWR this year, had only recruited PA Shannon Funk three weeks ago. However, it is believed that she quickly decided Shannon was too "controlling" and blamed her for her recent personal problems.

"Britney didn't blame the day directly on her assistant," an insider told Chinadaily.com, "but just said in general that a lot of her problems recently were caused by Shannon's unprofessional behaviour. Britney thought Shannon was rude and tried to run her affairs without listening to her."

Spears has paid a visit to Las Vegas following the recent tabloid reports about her OK! ordeal and video shoot problems. It has been reported that the singer's mother and sister have gone in search of her in Vegas, but have so far had no luck finding her.
