Kevin Federline has defended his huge expenses bill by blaming it on the costs he faces now that he is a celebrity father.

The aspiring rapper receives £12,000 a month in child support and an extra £10,000 a month in spousal support from ex-wife Britney Spears.

He officially divorced the 'Toxic' singer on Monday and now shares the custody of their two boys, 22-month-old Sean Preston and 11-month-old Jayden James.

Federline has now justified the high amount, which is officially undisclosed, by saying he needs 24-hour security and a nanny because he is a celebrity.

His lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan said: "There are people you have to pay so your kids can pretend they're like everyone else. When you are a celebrity parent, there are financial dynamics that others not familiar with it can't understand."
