Jennifer Ellison claims ex was violent

Jennifer Ellison has claimed that her ex-boyfriend Tony Richardson was abusive during their time together.

The former Brookside actress ended her six-year relationship with Richardson last week, after learning that he was cheating on her with Shalimar Wimble, the ex-girlfriend of England footballer John Terry.

Now Jennifer has alleged that Tony attacked her on two separate occasions when they were together. She said that he hit her over the head with a bottle during a night out with their friends at London's Attica club in 2002. Ellison has also claimed that she sustained an injury to her collarbone after being hurled to the ground by Tony in 2005.

Speaking about the nightclub incident, Jennifer told the News of the World: "Tony was in a really bad mood. I noticed he was talking to a girl in there. Then all the lads said they were off to another club. I demanded to know where he was going. He said something and I threw the last bit of my drink over him and turned to leave.

"The next thing I knew I felt this crash on the back of my head and went all dizzy. He had smashed me with a beer bottle and all my friends saw it. They just went, 'Oh no'. When I put my hand up to my head I felt all this blood coming out. My face, eyes, hair and mini dress were covered in blood."

Ellison added that she broke her collarbone in 2005 after another night out ended in violence. She had visited the Stringfellows nightclub in London with Richardson and a group of friends, and her female pals soon decided to buy lapdances for their boyfriends. Jennifer went along with the idea, however, when she returned to her hotel with Tony at the end of the night, the actress confronted him about how much he had enjoyed his dance.

"We had a huge shouting match and I threw a bowl of strawberries at him," Jennifer explained. "He grabbed me and threw me over. I crashed onto the floor and felt an awful pain in my shoulder. We must have been making a racket because security came up. Tony said it was my fault I had got hurt. I took the blame all the time."
