Spears goes topless at photo shoot

Britney Spears went topless for no apparent reason during a photo shoot with Allure magazine, and then failed to turn up for the interview.

The 'Toxic' singer is still due to appear on the cover of September's edition of the magazine, but her picture will accompany a story on the nature of celebrity rather than a personal interview.

The magazine's editor told The Sun: "Britney showed up for Allure's cover shoot on time and ready to work. She was entirely unselfconscious."

Talking about the shoot, they added: "She took off her wig and then stripped down to her waist, for no apparent reason, before sitting for hair and makeup.

"She was agreeable and co-operative but that was the last we saw of her...she missed four appointments for an interview."
