Jamie Oliver: Grow your own veg
Published Wednesday, Aug 8 2007, 09:04 BST | By Dave West

The celebrity chef said children seeing where healthy food came could be a good way of getting them to eat it.
"I want to let people know it doesn't matter where you live, you can still grow your own stuff," he explained. "It's about having a go. It can be in a bucket or a boot, a window box, a small or big garden."
Speaking ahead of Tuesday's first Jamie At Home, which sees him reap from his own garden, he added: "Getting kids involved in growing and cooking fresh food is the best way to not get them hooked on junk."
However, Oliver conceded it was not always easy growing your own: "My first attempts at growing veg were chaotic.
"What I've tried to do with gardening is what I did with food in the Naked Chef - take the mystery out. I wanted to show people how easy it is."
