Tarrant asks his ex-wife to keep quiet

TV host Chris Tarrant has begged his ex-wife Ingrid for a truce, according to a report today.

The Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? presenter was horrified when Ingrid told a newspaper that he used Viagra to deal with erectile dysfunction when they were together. Her comments followed reports that she had imposed a seven-year sex ban, resulting in Chris's infidelity.

A source has told the Daily Star newspaper that Chris now wants to end the war of words for the sake of their two children - 18-year-old Samantha and 15-year-old Toby.

The insider added: "Chris is aware of everything Ingrid has said but he doesn't want to be drawn into this. It's all very hurtful."

Tarrant was dumped by Ingrid in September last year, after she learned that he had been cheating on her with schoolteacher Fiona McKechnie for several years. They were granted a divorce in February.
