Mel B speaks about secret wedding

Mel B has spoken out about her decision to wed film producer Stephen Belafonte in a private Las Vegas ceremony two months ago.

The couple were married at the Special Memory Wedding Chapel by Reverend Marie Stapleton. She said: "They paid the $59 on his Visa card. They made no big deal of it. I don't think she has a wedding dress."

The Spice Girl told The Sun: "Stephen and I have known each other for seven years. We wanted to make a commitment.

"We wanted it to be private and have a big wedding with our families later in the year."

The singer was in the process of battling to prove that actor Eddie Murphy was the father of her 4-month-old daughter Angel Iris at the time of the wedding.
