Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti has been admitted to hospital.
The 71-year-old was taken to the Policlinico hospital in Modena, northern Italy on Tuesday.
His representative refused to reveal the condition for which the opera star is being treated, but an Italian newspaper has claimed that he is suffering from pneumonia.
Last year Pavarotti was forced to cancel his farewell tour to undergo an operation to remove a pancreatic tumour.
