Efron sick of 'High School Musical'

Zac Efron has admitted that he's sick of listening to the songs from the made-for-TV movie High School Musical.

The 19-year-old actor has claimed that he couldn't tour with the cast of the hit show because he had heard the music too many times.

Talking about his decision to not hit the road with the musical, Efron told Rolling Stone: "If I had to hear the High School Musical songs any more, I probably would have jumped off something very tall."

However, this hasn't stopped the actor from signing up for the show's sequel which is due to be screened in the US on August 17.

The follow-up will chronicle the adventures of the East High kids at a summer county club and will include Efron's first real vocals.

He commented: "I didn't even sing on the first album. It wasn't my voice in the movie. Even though I wanted to do it."
