Kevin Federline turned up to star in Keanu Reeves' new film when his manager forgot to tell him he had been dropped from the cast.
Britney Spears' ex-husband arrived at a wardrobe call for The Night Watchman and had to be told that had been fired.
A source told the New York Daily News: "He only had a very small role. However, he was fired from the film and his manager didn't tell him."
Reports claimed that Kevin was due to "appear opposite" Reeves in the production, but a representative of makers Fox Searchlight has denied he was ever given a role.
The 29-year-old has appeared in an episode of US TV show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and as a dancer in the 2004 film You Got Served.
