Weeds star Mary-Louise Parker has revealed that she nearly pulled out of a promotional photoshoot - because of her fear of snakes.
The actress, who plays Nancy Botwin on the Showtime series, was asked to pose with a snake as part of a promotional campaign for the new season. Despite her initial fears, Parker allowed the reptile to be placed around her naked upper body - and soon grew to like the creature.
"I didn't think I was going to do it, actually," Parker told WENN. "But then, they [the photography team] were there and the snake was there, and I didn't want the snake to win, so I put the snake on. And I grew to really love the snake - by the end of the day."
The new third season of Weeds airs in the US on Monday nights on the Showtime network.
