Winehouse checks into US rehab?

Amy Winehouse has checked into rehab in the US for drug treatment, according to a report.

The singer, who collapsed and went to hospital last week, has apparently travelled to America along with husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

Both are said to be checking into an intensive counselling and detox treatment programme after accepting they need help.

Winehouse's spokesman has said she is suffering "exhaustion" but other reports suggest she has been taking a list of banned substances.

The Daily Mirror says the pair's decision followed an argument between her and Fielder-Civil's parents over the situation.

"It broke Amy's heart to see her parents and in-laws fighting," explained a source. "That was when she realised the drink and drugs were causing problems for everyone."
